Healthcare analytics

Advances in healthcare evolve in three phases – discovery, development, and delivery. Many evidences from the history of medicine suggest that the delivery phase is in fact the bottleneck in this process. We use a broad spectrum of techniques and methods to solve problems in healthcare service delivery

EMS system design and operations

Emergency Medical Service systems is one of the major ports of entry to healthcare systems, and plays an important role as a safety net for a society. We conduct various research on EMS system design and operations with emphasis on real world implementation .

Modeling & Simulation for Disaster Response

We conduct research on disaster response system. Specifically, we study the EMS system’s response to a disaster event to improve decision making in disaster response system. We collaborate with EMS practitioners and NEMA to implement into their future response system.

Modeling & Simulation in Defense Applications

We also conduct research in the domain of defense applications including network centric warfare simulation. We develop a modeling framework to simulate combat effectiveness arising from situational awareness and information superiority.
